Jim Carrey Becomes A Comedy Legend

Almost everybody must have known Jim Carey. For those who don't, he is the funniest comedian and actor at present. Many enjoy watching his movies being most are comedy films. Jim Carrey is a multi-millionaire and people love him for his wonderful personality.

If one were to choose his best film, people would have a hard time deciding. Carrey has worked on numerous films ranging from comedies to dramas.

His first two films that propelled him to stardom were "The Mask" and "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective". His roles in these comedies distinguished him from the rest as a unique comedian whom no one could copy.

After the two movies were shown to the public, Jim Carrey became a household name when it comes to comedy. It did not stop there. He continued to perform even better, building on his previous success over the other.

His role in the film called "Dumb and Dumber" elevated him to stardom status. In this film he plays Lloyd Christmas, a lovable but not so smart character who, with his friend, travels across the country in pursuit of his dream girl. Starring as his friend is the three time Golden Globe nominee Jeff Daniels.

Behind the series of successful movies that he made, some movies however, were not made to be very popular compared to the earlier ones. But despite this fact, people are still watching and love the films, althoughthe audiences we more attracted to the first ones. Such movies are Me, Myself and Irene, and the Cable Guy.

After a string of comedies, Carrey decided to take on more serious roles. He garnered critical acclaim in the movie dramas "Man on the Moon" and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". Jim proved that he not only could play comedy, but he could effectively dive into more somber roles.

Today, there are so many titles to go over just to decide which one to watch. It would certainly take you a while. But through the years, you would have one that is close to your jolly heart. - 40728
